Biography:

Malcolm was born in 1945 in Newcastle and was educated in Ponteland until he joined the National Coal Board as an Electrical Engineering Apprentice. Upon completion of the apprenticeship he joined the newly opened Newcastle Airport as a member of a team who maintained all aspects of the Airport facilities.. He worked at Newcastle for 10 years before embarking on a career overseas, working on over 40 different Airports in 6 countries. The work involved inspection, maintenance, installation and consultancy services. The systems covered were Airfield Lighting, Aerodrome marking, Electrical power generation, Service distribution, Building services, Remote control and monitoring and Document management. The agencies who employed me were primarily government civil aviation authorities, I.C.A.O. and specialist companies.

During these travels he continued his studies with the Open University and continued to gain knowledge and experience by attending numerous seminars and training programs. In 2005 he was awarded a VAE Mastaire en Ingnierie Aronautique by the Robert de Sorbon University in France.

Malcolm is based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, has been married to his wife Patricia for 29 years. Patricia has accompanied him on all of his projects, and is now a co-director and the company secretary.
